Explore with us over a weekend of exciting and thought-provoking events at Africa Utopia, returning in autumn 2019 in a new collaboration with Indaba X. 

 

For the festival’s seventh year, Southbank Centre welcomes Akala, Ozwald Boateng, Chineke! Orchestra, Noel Clarke, Nathalie Emmanuel, Bethann Hardison, Femi Kuti, Denise Lewis and many more to its stages.

Highlights include Afrika Shrine Alive with Akala, Femi Kuti and Talib Kweli, bestselling author of The Spider King’s Daughter Chibundu Onuzo’s autobiographical performance 1991, Africa Utopia marketplace, Letters Live, Concrete Lates club night with DJs Jay Mitta, ZULI, Bonaventure, Okzharp and much more.

Over 50% of events are free.
